Hello! My name is Caitlin Teson. I have been married to my lovely husband Chris Teson for 6 years and we have two boys named Daniel and Bennett Teson. Daniel is 5 years old and Bennett is 2 years old. Here is a fun fact! Both boys were born on St. Patrick's Day exactly 3 years apart!
I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2010 with my Bachelors in Communication Science and Disorders. I graduated from Ottawa University with my teaching license in 2012. I received my Master's in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University in 2016. I am currently working on my Education Specialist in Technology in the Classroom from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
I am extremely proud of the dedication I have put into my career as a First Grade Teacher for the Park Hill School District. I have been recognized as a Park Hill Star Teacher and have served on various Curriculum Writing Teams for the district. I had the honor of attending the Teacher's College Reading and Writing Project in New York City. I currently serve as a Studio Classroom for my District.
I am a huge advocate of education and a bigger advocate for the importance of human connection when it comes to learning. According to Jennifer Wiley, a Curriculum Coach for the Park Hill School District:
"Students learn from those they trust. A teacher's number one job is to create trust."
According to Jasmine Briedwell, Director of Elementary Education for the Park Hill School District:
"Students should have an opportunity to find their voice throughout each school day. Students can only find their voice with a teacher they trust."
I am a First Grade Teacher at Graden Elementary located in Parkville, Missouri. Our school strives to build relationships with our students by implementing the Leader in Me Program by Stephan Covey. The Leader in Me Program is focused around the 8 Habits. Here is a list of those 8 Habits.
